Hi I'm Precious

I was born and raised in Hawaii. I have 4 sisters and 2 brothers. I am a mormon.

About Me

I am 21 years old and I live with my husband in Honolulu. We are currently expecting our first child! We both enjoy playing basketball and watching movies. I love Sports and I love children. I also enjoy spending time with our families on our days off and attending our church activities. I love to do arts and crafts, although I am most definitely not the best. During my spare time, I like to learn more about the Gospel and learn new things as I prepare to be a mother. My favorite person to spend time with is my husband. We love to joke and we could always use a good laugh!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. My mom wasn't an active member, but my grandma took us to church with her every sunday. Never failed. When I was a youth, I began to feel like I was leaning on my grandmas testimony and not really my own. I thought I knew the church was true. I mean, I was pretty sure. That's what I learned my whole life. But I don't think I was confident. As I approached young adulthood, I decided to no longer go to church because I wanted to live a life that didn't align with church standards. Through those years, I felt like something was missing, but I didn't know what it was. My choices seemed to be taking a quick downward spiral. Even then, I still did not want to come to church. I was ashamed of myself and the choices that I made. But then, an old friend of mine invited me out to activities. Then back to church. And slowly I began coming back to church. The hole that I felt was missing, was slowly being filled. I felt the spirit. Through repentance, I gained my very own testimony of the atonement of Christ. I knew that this church was true. Those special feelings and experiences were undeniable. I love this Gospel. I don't understand everything. But I know that we are going to be required to exercise our faith more than ONCE in this life. Multiple times actually. I know that this Church is True. I know that Christ atoned for our sins, and that through him we can live with our families forever. How comforting is that!

How I live my faith

I currently teach the youth in our ward. I enjoy it. Although it is not something that I was prepared for, I am grateful for it. It is my responsibility to help guide them and teach them to make the right choices and to strive to be the best example that they can. I understand that the world we live in today is very rough. I know that there are a lot of things that we as individuals need to push through. As youth, they are preparing themselves for adulthood, meaning it is a very crucial time for them as far as preparation for life. Even though living the Gospel can be very difficult sometimes, blessings come from our best efforts. Christ knows that we can all help one another to be the best individuals that we can be. That is what I try to do each day. I try to help others, to be an example in the best way that I can. Practicing Christ like attributes daily is a big help. Not always easy, but definitely a big help when you are striving to live the Gospel. Living The Gospel also includes bearing my testimony regularly of the truthfulness of the things that I have learned and the things that I know to be true.

What is faith?

Faith is the opposite of Fear. To have faith is to be confident in something that you cannot see. Show more Show less
