Hi I'm Joe Carrillo

I was born into this wonderful way of life. I was born in Texas. I am 19 years old and preparing to serve a mission.

About Me

I graduated high school in 2014 and have been preparing to serve a full-time mission since. I love to play sports and listen to music. I have been trying to dance more often as well. I speak Spanish just as fluently as I do English.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into my church. I have been an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints all of my life. I believe that this church is true and that this gospel is the only true gospel in this world. I will continue to live the Lord's gospel even after I return from my mission and hope to be able to marry and get sealed in the temple as well. I know that through the questions and doubts of Joseph Smith, we attained the gospel and restored the Lord's gospel in this world.

How I live my faith

I love to go out with missionaries as much as possible. I learn a lot of teaching methods that I know I would need to use on my mission really soon. I also try to be part of all the activities that the young adults come up with in order to be more unified as a church unit. Not only do I attend my own church activities, but I also go to other chapels throughout my city.

What do Mormons believe about “eternal life?”

Joe Carrillo
As believers in Christ, we know that we had a life before and will have a life after the one we have now. We lived as spirits with our Heavenly Father. We chose to follow Jesus Christ's plan, and therefore are living here. We are tested, and when our mortal life ends, we will return to live in the presence of God. The life we live here on Earth will determine our judgment in the eyes of our Lord. Those who follow Jesus Christ and all of his commandments will inherit God's Kingdom, living with our families for all eternity. Show more Show less
