Hi I'm Eric

I am a general contractor, a husband, a father and grandfather. My family means the world and more to me. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a general contractor specializing in land development and residential construction. I love to spend time with my amazing family. I enjoy gardening, hiking, camping, and being in the great outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a young boy living in Washington state my mother sought out the LDS church and began meeting with missionaries and decided to be baptized. Shortly thereafter, I was baptized and then my father. I remember at the age of eight the missionaries teaching us and the missionaries asking me if I wanted to wait to be baptized with my father, shortly thereafter, or if it was something I wanted to do sooner. I had a peaceful feeling as the spirit testified to me that it was something I needed to do soon. My mother later told me that my decision to be baptized helped my father to later make the same decision. I know that God loves me, and I know that he sent His son, Jesus Christ, to atone for me and the rest of mankind. Jesus Christ took upon himself the sins of the world, that we may return and live with them for eternity. It is my desire, though not always easy, to show Him my gratitude through my obedience to His laws and commandments. I am thankful for my membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I know, that as in times of old, we have living apostles and a prophet in the world today. I am thankful for sacred scripture. I know the Holy Bible to be the word of God, along with the Book of Mormon, sacred scripture from the same time period from prophets in the Americas. These books of holy scripture testify of our Savior and draw us closer to Him. In a world with so many distractions, I am thankful for the direction, the peace, and the reassurance that the Spirit gives me, as I move forward as a husband, a father, a grandfather and a son of God.

How I live my faith

I love the "good news" that is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We truly are all brothers and sisters living on this beautiful world that our Father in Heaven has given us. With help, we can make it back to Him. Currently, I serve as Bishop of an amazing ward, the ecclesiastical leader of about 400. However, I have much help. There are those that help and teach the children, the youth, the men, and the women. Serving one another is how we are able to accomplish what we do. We have seen many tender mercies, many blessings, and many miracles from our Father in Heaven. I know life comes with challenges. When we face those challenges with faith, we will experience spiritual growth. That growth, will prepare us to some day, by the grace of God and His loving son, Jesus the Christ, to live with him again.
