Hi I'm Blake Elzinga

I grew up in Arizona but now live in California. I love swimming and the outdoors. I love the Harry Potter books. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of my five siblings, and I have a twin brother. I am about to serve a mission in Monrovia, Liberia. I am enrolled in BYU Provo and will continue to attend after my mission. I enjoy hiking, camping, horology, and mining. I am an avid swimmer and I enjoy hiking to swimming holes and taking a swim. I enjoy mining in the area I grew up in, the gold country of California.

Why I am a Mormon

The Gospel has had a profound influence on my life. The happiest I have ever been has been with my family, and with the Holy Spirit that brings us all together. I have prayed about the Book of Mormon and about the church, and through the blessings and love I have received in my life, I know it to be true. In all that I do, I know that God loves each and every one of us.

How I live my faith

I leave for my mission on January 31, 2018. I am excited to serve in Liberia, but am nervous at the same time. I strive to become more like Christ by following his teachings. The church has had a positive influence in my life, and I want to show others the love that this church and it's people bring to me. I believe that service is very important to show others that you care, and it can be a great missionary tool.
