Hi I'm Dallan Fraughton

I was raised in Utah. I played football, was an officer in the FFA, and play the violin. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I played football for my high school as a middle line backer on the varsity squad and went to state. I was Vice President of my officer team in the FFA. I play the violin and some guitar. I enjoy sports and being active. Being out doors is one of my favorite past times especially hunting, fishing, hiking, and back packing. I enjoy spending time with friends, but i love being my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon or a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because it has changed my life. Football is very challenging and very physically demanding and i'm not very big for my position but because of the gospel i was given the strength to fight the challenges and end up. As my senior year approached for football we were having a lifting competition. I had been working on my bench press for awhile and finally gotten better. Well as i was approaching my max out i couldn't get up what was usually pretty easy for me. So i tried the weight for a second time, well i lifted the weight from the off the rack and dropped it to my chest and as i pushed up i heard and felt a pop in my right shoulder and peck area. I had torn my peck. Now there three things that are amazing about this trail. One i was told that tearing a peck is one of the most painful things but i had only felt the initial pop. Second I was worried that my senior year was over because a torn peck can take you out. Well after tearing it i decided to stay and watch my teammates perform in the last competitions. Well by now everyone had heard but one friend came up and asked what had happened and i told him i tore my peck and may be out for the season. He told me he was sorry but then told me don't worry i will pray for you. I instantly knew i would be playing my senior year. Last i played my senior year with a torn peck. It wasn't able to fully heal and even a year later i was struggling to bench press. But i played and had a great season. To some they may say its mere coincidence but i know it was much more. It was my Heavenly Father showing me He cares not only me in a spiritual and eternal sense but in our personal lives as well. I know my Savior lives and suffered for my sins and all the pains i've endure and is ready to bless me if i ask. I'm grateful for the relationship i have with Him and the Father and all the happiness and joy it brings into my life.

How I live my faith

I spend time with ward members helping them with their needs. I help with two families specifically in my ward that i home teach with my companion. We teach them lessons at least once a month and give them service as needed. I am currently preparing to serve a 2 year mission.
