Hi I'm Remington

I really love being in the outdoors, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

In my family I have one older brother who is my best buddy. We've always been there for each other and he's great. I've lived in Utah my whole life, where it's hot and dry in the summer, and snowy and cold in the winter; I love it. The mountains are my favorite part, they're like my own personal backyard to explore only about 5 minutes away. I'm planning to go to college to become a Dietitian. But first I will serve my mission in the Ohio Columbus Mission and I'm super excited!

Why I am a Mormon

Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints gives me more happiness than I can put into words. I have come to know God's love for my personally, and his understanding of my struggles and my life. I am a witness of Christ's love for not only me, but you, and everyone on this earth. He loved us so much he died for us, he experienced pain, and confusion of every kind, yet in his humility he has given us the opportunity to live with God again. I have come to understand God's plan for me personally, and for all his children. I love living the commandments, because they keep me safe. I love knowing that God is the same as in olden times, and that he speaks through a living prophet today. I see the hand of God in my life every day, and I have seriously studied the Book of Mormon and it's teachings- With personal prayer, I know that it is true. I know that this is the only true Church of Jesus Christ with his authority and the fullness of his teachings. Being a member of this church is the most fulfilling thing for me. It is challenging, it requires things of you, it stretches you out of your comfort zone, it strengthens you and builds you up, and THAT, is why it is the true church. I love applying the teachings of Jesus Christ to my life as I see the blessings that pour in, both big and small.

How I live my faith

I live my faith out of the love I have for my Father in Heaven and his son, Jesus Christ. I strive to follow Christ's teachings and to become more like him, seeing as he is perfect. There are many ways I can be like Him in my everyday life, they can be as simple as smiling and saying hello, or by serving people in whatever way I can help them. I love being kind to others, helping them realize their potential, and their importance. I live my faith by being honest, and by being patient, and diligent even when things aren't going the way I plan. I live my faith every moment of every day as I try to look at the big picture in front of me, deciding between right and wrong.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Remington
Family is so important because it is central to God's plan for His children. It is the central unit of society, where children can be brought into the world, where they can be loved, taught, and provided for. In our families it's important to establish close relationships, where we can serve, help, teach, and love each other. So much joy comes from being a part of a family, and so much strength, and happiness. Heavenly Father knows how important families are, because he has made it possible for us to be with them forever. Not just until we die, but forever! That is one of the most amazing things. We have the opportunity to be with the people we love and care about after this life, I don't know about you, but I want that. Show more Show less

What blessings can we receive through the gift of the Holy Ghost?

Remington
The gift of the Holy Ghost blesses our lives in so many ways. It is, once being babtized and confirmed as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a constant companion. What that means is that no matter what path you are choosing in your life, you will receive and feel the comfort, peace, ideas, warnings, love, and influence on you. What an amazing gift that is, to have the Holy Ghost be with you at all times, to help you know right from wrong, and to help you with what may seem like simple everyday decisions. We will be blessed with a knowledge of Jesus Christ from receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and we will be blessed with a strengthening of our testimony of him, and of his restored Gospel on the earth today.
