Hi I'm Sarah

I'm a visual arts student, native Virginian, and lover of all things chocolate. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Virginia, venturing off the East Coast for the first time to attend college in Utah. I'm currently working towards my Bachelor's Degree in Visual Arts. I love almost anything outdoors, especially horseback riding and camping.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, but still needed to find my testimony. After much prayer and repeatedly asking my Father in Heaven if the Book of Mormon was true and if this church was His true Church, I have received a testimony of the truthfulness of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that Joseph Smith saw God the Father and Jesus Christ. I know that he translated the Book of Mormon and that it is true. It contains the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ and works together with the Bible to bring us closer to Christ. These simple truths have helped me through difficult times in my life. The gospel has taught me to rely on the Lord in all aspects of my life. I know that God has a plan for ME and without the gospel, I would be truly lost.

How I live my faith

One of my favorite aspects of the church is service. During my teenage years, I went out on many service projects in my community. We did things as simple as raking someone's yard and as physically demanding as volunteering with Habitat for Humanity and demolishing a home after the new house had been built. Getting to know the people we were helping instilled a love for my fellow man in me that still influences my life today. I love volunteering and serving those around me. The gospel has helped me to realize how blessed and fortunate I am and that makes me want to help those less fortunate as the Savior did.
