Hi I'm Melinda

I enjoy classical music and camping. I was in the marching band in high school. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a hardworking college student, but I like to relax by doing recreational things, like hiking, camping, boating, running, and rollerblading. Other hobbies include writing, reading historical fiction, and sewing. In high school I played the piccolo and flute in band, so naturally I enjoy classical music. My marching band performed in the Rose Parade one year. I love to laugh with my five siblings and parents. I believe in looking for the good in everyday- I am an optimist. Soon I will have to opportunity to share the Gospel that I love so much as a missionary!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is a joyful way of living. I certainly have my share of hardships and very real darkness, but I look forward to the day when I will be with my Father in Heaven again. I was raised with a knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, but I gradually learned for myself that it was true. Through the Book of Mormon, prayer, and the power of the Holy Ghost I have gained a testimony that I cannot deny. I know that God loves me. I know Jesus Christ atoned for me. He helps me bare my burdens and I am never alone. I live with hope, happiness, and peace.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following God's plan. I try hard to keep the commandments He has given. As I try to follow the Savior's example, I find myself doing small things to improve the lives of others. I enjoy writing letters. doing the dishes, offering a listening ear, and being a friend in order to make others happy. Right now I serve by teaching simple doctrines of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the preschoolers in my ward.
