Hi I'm Starly Bluemel

I grew up in Magna, Utah. I'm a bowler and I love doing hair. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I come from what some people might say, "A messed up family". I don't have the average mom and dad but I wouldn't change it for the world. I have 10 siblings and I'm right in the middle. Five older, five younger. I love my family and I am so grateful for them. Without them I wouldn't be who I am today. I love to bowl. I have been bowling since I was three years old on a league and I love it. I like to go when I'm stressed or overwhelmed to take my mind off of the world and focus on something I love and cherish. I am currently serving as a missionary in the England Leeds Mission until January 2017. I didn't always want to serve a mission.. I met a friend in college who told me," You will never regret serving a mission, but you may always regret not serving a mission." I started my papers that day. I love the gospel and I know my Heavenly Father loves me. I want to share that message with as many people as possible! My boyfriend is also serving as a full time missionary in the Mendoza Argentina Mission. He and I will return home within two months of each other. We didn't plan it that way, but the Lord knows best! And well, the rest is history! I love being a Mormon. 3

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon for many reasons. I want to live with my family for eternity and I know through this gospel is can be made possible. I want to have the guidance and direction in my life that I can find by doing those things that will bring me closer to my Heavenly Father. I love knowing that no matter what happens my Father in Heaven loves me and he wants the best for me. I love being able to say a prayer at any time throughout the day and know that He hears me and will answer me. My family life has never been great but the gospel has always been there for me. It is my rock and foundation. I love having so many wonderful people to be able to go to and turn to in time of need. Also, to have people know they can turn to me. Before I came on my mission I did the motions. I prayed, read, and went to church. But since I've come I've learned it's much more than that. It's a lifestyle. I have never Prayed more sincerely in my life while I've been on my mission. I've never wanted people to be so happy because of something I love and sometimes take for granted. I never thought of bringing others to Christ in a way to give up everything for 18 months. Since I have made the choice to serve a full time mission my life has been blessed beyond belief. I won't say it's easy, because it's a lot of hard work. But I know the blessings that come are so worth it. I am so eternally grateful to my Heavenly Father for everything I have been given and I know He has a hand in my life every single day. I can see it. I encourage anyone who doesn't feel like their Father in Heaven cares about them to pray and to write down something each day that He has done for you. I know when we start looking for His hand in our lives we will see it. He is always there for us and He always will be. These are some of the reasons why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I have grown up in the church and almost always had a calling since I was 12. I feel everyone has a place in this gospel and can contribute in one way or another. I have had the opportunity to serve with the girls between the ages of 12-18. While I was in that age category I served as part of leadership and two weeks after I turned 18 I was called as the secretary over the program in my ward. I felt unqualified in every way but I knew the calling came from Heavenly Father and that with his help I would be able to fulfil that calling. Before I came on my mission I liked to go out with the sister missionaries in my area. I was called as a ward missionary and would go to lessons with them and drive them to places they needed to get to. I loved being able to serve and "be a missionary". I know everyone can be missionaries and help in their areas to strengthen people and help them come closer to the gospel.
