Hi I'm Tallon Beckstrom

i'm nineteen years old, I love basketball , I love to cook, I speak Spanish and English, but most important of all... I'm a Mormon

About Me

I grew up in Utah. I Recently graduated high school from Spanish Fork High School where I was lucky to have the opportunity to be a three sport varsity athlete, I excelled in tennis, basketball, and golf. I loved being in the classroom and was able to graduate with high honors and obtain a full ride academic scholarship which will be awaiting me when I return home from my mission. In college I plan on studying biochemistry as a precursor to medical school with the intent of becoming an anesthesiologist. I have always loved the medical field and hope to someday work it where I can use the gifts God has given me to help others. I am an Eagle Scout and loved the opportunity of getting this award. I hope I can help other young men obtain this award in the future and hopefully it can help them in life as much has it has helped me. I am the youngest of two sons to my amazing parents and do everything in my life to make them and my loving Heavenly Father proud. I have the most amazing family in the world!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon primarily because of the way this religion makes me feel. You will never find such happiness anywhere else in the world. I have studied multiple religions and have talked with a lot of non members and I can truly testify unto you that when you live this gospel and do your absolute best to do as the lord commands he will bless you. I personally know that when I obey his commandments there is a presence and absolute love in my life that is indescribable. The Lord knows our challenges, he knows each of us sin differently but, he also knows the potential of each of us is profound and he wants us to obtain our true potential. For this I know with all of my heart that God is my loving father, that Jesus Christ did in fact die for mine and every other persons sins and he did that for them each personally. This church has a special aura around its members and I am forever grateful to have the opportunity to say "I am a Mormon"

How I live my faith

I live my faith by constantly striving to be a good example unto others, from my youth I have always looked up to my elders and wanted to be like them, that is how today's youth are as well and I strive to be someone that a mother could be proud her son aspires to be. I am currently serving a full time LDS mission in Málaga Spain and will be doing so until summer 2017. I hope I can continue to be a good example unto others by serving in various unpaid callings throughout our wonderful church. I enjoy seeing the light in people's eyes throughout the world and helping them be able to come to the same conclusion that I have. This is the only true church upon the face of the earth, Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, Thomas S. Monson is a true prophet today, and the Book of Mormon along with the bible is the most true and inspired book that exists today. I encourage you to read and pray to come to the same conclusion that I and roughly 16 million other members of our rapidly growing church have.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Tallon Beckstrom
There is really only one way to come to know our father in heaven. To put it simply that is through prayer, reading his word, and with real desire to know. As a missionary for this wonderful church I get to help people come to the knowledge that God does exist and he is in fact their loving Heavenly Father. I can promise you that when you truly have the desire to know if he exists and come to a better knowledge of him all you must do is read the scriptures which he has provided to us those being the bible and the Book of Mormon, pray to know wether they are true, and do such with an open heart and real intent to act upon the answers you receive. In the Book of Mormon there is a scripture I would encourage you to read Alma 32:27-35 that talks about this. I promise you if you do these simple steps God will give you an answer to your questions and you will come closer to him with the knowledge he does exist and he is your Heavenly Father.
