Hi I'm Seth

I was born and raised in Huntsville, Alabama. Music is my tool for inspiration. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in the South but I'm a huge city person. I love urban environments. I played soccer most of my life but I always had a deep interest in music. I joined the band in middle school and was involved in that throughout both middle and high school. I played percussion and I self-taught myself to play the piano. I'm also a working person. I had a job throughout most of high school. I also lived in Shanghai, China for 2 years with my parents. It was the most adventurous experience of my life so far. I'm thankful to have been born and raised in a Mormon family. The lessons and examples my parents taught me made me the person I am today.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised as a Mormon. Even though I was baptized at 8 years old, I was still going by my parents' testimonies. Whenever I followed God's commandments and lived the laws of the Gospel, I always seemed more... at peace. I never really questioned the church until I was a teenager. I started questioning things about the Plan of Salvation and the story of Joseph Smith because I had faced opposing opinions from other people about these subjects. I decided to pray about it. As a Mormon, praying is vital to communicating with our Heavenly Father. For some reason, I never prayed much. It would always be about a specific test as school or when I was having a rough time, I would pray for comfort. I decided to start praying more about my questions. As I was praying, I would get a calming feeling in my body and for me, that was my answer. Ever since then, I've known that this church is true. The main way I feel the Spirit is through music. The basis of my testimony was built through music and I plan on giving people the same experience I went through.

How I live my faith

I just became an Elder in the church and I don't have a calling right now. Whenever there is a chance to help out a family in the ward, I try my best to help. I go out home teaching with my companion every month. I participate in YSA and Elder's Quorum activities. I also go out with the missionaries sometimes to teach local investigators. When I was in my youth, I was the first assistant to the Bishop while I was in Priest Quorum. I also went to seminary for all 4 years of high school.
