Hi I'm Jerius

I grew up in the Philippines. I am called to serve in the Korea Daejeon Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My hobbies are watching movies, reading some novel books, news, and feature articles. I browse the internet for fun facts. I hang out with my friends who share the same standards with me and with those who understand my faith. I love acting on stage that's why I do theater play. I go to institute (and it's fun to be there!) and I read my scriptures every night. I took Mass Communication course for two years. I am very interested in video editing and in different productions. I had experienced working on different productions, especially on stage, radio and a little on television production in our college university. I already applied for missionary service for 2 years in our church and I got my call to serve in the Korea Daejeon Mission. I'll report on December 08, 2015 to the Provo Missionary Training Center!

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My father and his family were members of the church but my mother was not. I was 1 year old back then when my mom decided to be baptized in the church. My family used to go to the church every Sunday together but after a few years of being active, we got inactive. Missionaries were always visiting us but my parents were not responding to their invitation to be taught of the gospel and start going to church every Sunday. Leaders of our ward didn't stop encouraging us to be active again and regain the faith that was lost in my family. After so many years of inactivity, we're blessed to be active again in the church. My brother and I were taught of the gospel of Jesus Christ and we accepted the invitation to be baptized in June 2011. On February 2, 2013, our family was sealed in the temple for time and eternity! I know that families can be together forever! My life is very different now compared to my life five years ago. If there will be one thing that I really regret in this life, that will be the fact that my family got inactive in the only true church here on earth. Now, I'm grateful that we are all members, not just members but active members of the true church and no one can stop us again from moving forward with faith!

How I live my faith

I always put my trust on the Lord and His Atonement. I have faith that families can be together forever. I pray and read my scriptures and general conference talks. I fulfilled my Duty to God and strive to live the standards I learned from it every single day. I love sharing the gospel to everyone! I don't need to fear. I just need to have faith!

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

The Atonement of Jesus Christ is the greatest selfless act of sacrifice and love that has been performed. This includes His whole ministry, sufferings and all of His sacrifices. The Atonement of Jesus Christ is necessary for our salvation. We all commit mistakes, intentionally and unintentionally. We are all transgressors of the law and that is because we are not perfect. We feel sad, discouraged, and sometimes we lack confidence that we can be forgiven of our sins. But because of the atonement, forgiveness is shed abroad! It is for all! . Darkness are dispelled and we can hope for good things to happen. We should always remember that His grace is enough for our salvation. Though some conditions of forgiveness require us to do some things, we don't need to worry because the atonement answered the great part of our sins and it helps us to be whole again if we repent with sincere heart. Atonement is available to everyone. We can not overcome our trials and weaknesses on our own. We need someone to lean on; that is Our Savior and we rely on His mercy through accepting His atonement. We cannot do it alone! There's a help on our way- Our Savior's help and His Atonement. "NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF THE ATONEMENT." He is inviting you to repent and come unto Him. He will never forsake you and He never did. He loves you more than you know. Show more Show less
