Hi I'm Lilly Rivera

I grew up in a small town in Idaho. My family is incredibly important to me. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small farming community of about 500 called Carey. My father is a convert to the church, and immigrated from Peru when he was in his early twenties. Him and my mother (a native Idahoan) were married not long after, which makes me half Peruvian and the youngest of 6. Following in my siblings footsteps, I have a love for all athletics, as well as uplifting music. I have the pleasure of being an aunt of 4 nieces and 4 nephews and I love spending time with my family. After graduating high school, I attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. One day, I want to be married in the Temple to a worthy priesthood holder and raise up a family in the only true church on this Earth today.

Why I am a Mormon

I have never met another human being who hasn't had struggles or unhappiness in their lives. There are so many tragedies and sorrows in this world. I have found that being a Mormon makes my own tragedies and sorrows easier to bare. I wish and pray that all with unhappiness in their lives can find a bit of lightness in the dark. That lightness can be found here, within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am a Mormon because it brings me ultimate happiness.

How I live my faith

Living your faith should be an everyday thing, not just at church on Sundays. Outside of church, I strive to be an example for those around me who may wonder what being a Mormon is all about. Simple things such as smiling, helping those you can see need help, and not being afraid to talk about Jesus Christ and his teachings helps me to do this.
