Hi I'm Julianne

I love designing costumes, reading, and watching British TV shows. My favorite color is purple. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to read and write and have dreams of publishing a novel in the future. I was always a teacher's pet and disliked that it was 'weird' to be friends with your teachers. My favorite classes were (and are) English and Drama. I was too nervous to audition for drama club until my junior year, but once I joined I put my whole heart into it. I have been in 5 plays in the past 4 years, and a costume assistant for two of them, which has been a whirlwind and a lot of fun. "When I grow up" I want to be a costume designer in the film industry. I know that's a bit of a big dream, but I believe that with enough hard work and a refusal to give up, I can make it come true. I am very, very, very excited that I will be leaving to serve a full time mission very soon.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that it is true. We are told often by our teachers that we are to find out for ourselves if the church is true, rather than just accepting what we are told. I was fine to just accept it for a long time, but when I was thirteen I decided it was time to find out for myself. When I prayed I realized that I already knew that the church was true. That was the first of many little things that have proven it's truth to me. At 16, we had about 20 talks on missionary work in one week. Everyone was telling me to go on a mission, even though I was the only one to get that out of the talks.

How I live my faith

As I said above, I will be serving a full time mission from September 2015 to March 2017. I can't wait!!! I am currently a Sunday school teacher for the kids aged 4-6. They are a handful. They love hearing all of the stories from the Bible and the Book of Mormon and I get a kick out of seeing how excited they get when they recognize a name or story. I'm young enough to remember being in that class and I will admit I sometimes forget that I'm supposed to be the teacher. :)
