Hi I'm Heather Hyer

I'm from Orem, Utah. I'm an avid reader, singer, and self-proclaimed nerd. I'm serving a mission in Puerto Rico. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Heather. I love anything to do with food. Cooking it, eating it, attempting to decorate it. I live to read and my book collection has become a bit of an obsession. I don't know how I would survive without music. I always have a song in my heart and you'll find me singing it most of the time. I have been studying Software Engineering at UVU for the past year and I love it. but now, I am serving a mission in San Juan, Puerto Rico and it's amazing.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, but I've been going through my own personal conversion my whole life. I'm a Mormon because the gospel of Jesus Christ and living by its principles has made me happy. I know that my Father in Heaven lives and that he loves me. I know that Jesus Christ atoned for me and that if I apply the Atonement in my life, I will be blessed. This is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in San Juan, Puerto Rico. I am so excited to be sharing the joy that the gospel has brought into my life with the people. I am learning to teach, and in Spanish nonetheless, but I know that I will be blessed for my faith and will be able to be an instrument in God's hands. I'm a Mormon. I know it. I live it. I love it. :)

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?
