Hi I'm Kellie

I've lived in Utah my entire life, and I hope to one day make a difference in children's lives by being a pediatric surgeon.

About Me

I am currently attending Utah Valley University as an Exercise Science major. Some of my favorite things to do include: hiking, camping, and fourwheeling near my home. I also enjoy learning about history and collecting chapsticks.

Why I am a Mormon

I've often thought about how being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has changed or impacted my life, and each time my mind brushes across this topic, I seem to find myself quite amazed by how the choice to be a Mormon has changed my life for the better. I think that when it comes down to the wire, I am a Mormon because nothing I have ever experienced has brought me more joy than by following the teachings of Jesus Christ and being a part of His church. I am a Mormon because we believe in The Book of Mormon, a book which I believe has been the cause of a great number of miracles in my own life, as well as the lives of my friends and family, by bringing each of its readers who turn its pages with humble hearts and sincere desires to learn of God to Him and to their Savior, Jesus Christ. I know without a doubt that this church is the true church of God, and it was restored under His caring and watchful guidance through the prophet Joseph Smith almost 200 years ago, and I know that being a faithful Mormon will bless the life of anybody who decides to try doing so.

How I live my faith

I teach a group of 6-7 year old children at my church and I love working with young people who are so loving and energetic. As I plan what I will teach them, I look at my own life and try to find examples that will relate to the topics I plan to teach and this helps me recognize the blessings of God in my life. I have also volunteered at my local Literacy Center where I assisted children of the same age group to learn to read fluently.
