Hi I'm Ethan

I grew up in Yakima, Washington. I love music, dancing, skiing, running, reading, and the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the only son in a family of four children. Consequently, much of my childhood was spent getting my makeup done and having dresses put on me. Although I've always wanted a brother, I love my three sisters. I recently graduated from high school and am currently serving a two year mission in the Omaha, Nebraska mission, speaking Spanish. While in high school, I participated in musicals, student body leadership, and every type of band that I could. I am a music enthusiast. I love listening to all types of music. I also love playing music on the piano, guitar, ukulele, tuba and various other instruments. To me music is more than just a pastime, it's my passion. I plan to study music in college. I also love the outdoors. I ski, white water raft, hike, mountain bike, and cliff jump.

Why I am a Mormon

My entire family is LDS. I was born into a church going family. But my family is not the reason I am still an active member of the church. I am still an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I have a testimony. I know that God exists, loves each one of us, and answers our prayers. I know that Jesus Christ really did suffer for our sins. I have felt the burden and guilt of past mistakes lifted off my shoulders through the gift of the Atonement. I know that the Holy Ghost, really does whisper truths, warnings and comfort to us. I know that Thomas S. Monson truly is a prophet of God. I cannot listen to him speak without that fact being confirmed to my by the Holy Ghost.

How I live my faith

Currently, I live my faith by serving as a missionary. I spend everyday serving the people, and doing my best to help them come unto Christ through faith, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end. I also study the scriptures and pray daily in order to strengthen my relationship with my Heavenly Father and understand the teachings of His Son and of the prophets and apostles. I look for opportunities to serve others, be it through church, another organization, or random opportunities. I do my best to apply my Savior's atonement daily, to better myself and to honor his sacrifice for me.
