Hi I'm Colin

I grew up near Detroit. I come from a loving family. I'm imperfect. I'm a missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love my family and my friends. Being connected to people and their stories is the most important thing to me. I love cars and cycling. I like to experience new things and I love adventure. I try to recognize the beauty in everyday living. I consider myself a connoisseur of good fashion, despite my general lack of money. I love classical music, as well as contemporary styles. I love people who know who they are and don't take themselves too seriously; I'm learning to do the same. I hope to become a barber one day to pursue a craft I believe is beautiful and to connect myself with people and create incredible experiences for my future customers.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have felt peace in this church and I have felt peace through my Savior. Every time I falter or stray away, I am reminded of who He is and who I can become if I follow Him. I love this Gospel because it is a Gosepl of love, peace, and hope. It can be applied to the most mundane of everyday concerns to the greatest and most important concerns of our souls. I love my Savior and I have felt His love.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be the best, most honest version of myself I can be. I try to love others. I try to remain humble in my successes and hopeful in my failures. I try to remember Christ in prayer and in the actions I take and the things I create. I try to be like Christ, for he is the greatest example of love.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Grace is awesome. We have all sinned and we all sin every day and as such are incapable of entering God's presence on our own. For this reason, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to Atone for us so that we can become cleansed through obedience to His commandments. We have an obligation to be the best we can be and to follow Him, but Christ's Grace is the capacity for Him to save us. His Grace is the loving, selfless power to make us whole again. He loves us and wants us to come home, so He allows us to come back by giving so much more than we ever can. Show more Show less
