Hi I'm Allen

I love math. I play saxophone. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 18 years old. I have two sisters, one older and one younger. I have graduated from high school and am planning on attending the Colorado School of Mines in two years following my mission to Cuiaba Brazil. I would say math is my favorite core subject in school, but band is my favorite extra curricular class. I play saxophone and have had much success, going to many regional and state level bands. I also enjoy going, hiking, camping and overall just spending time outside.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a mormon my entire life. I think the reason I stay is because of the peace and comfort I find in the teachings of the gospel. So many things in the world try to scare you and tell you what is wrong and messed up around you, but the gospel of Jesus Christ found in the mormon church gives me hope of a brighter future ahead, and if I follow the precepts taught by Jesus Christ everything will work out for the best.

How I live my faith

I have held several callings in my time in the church, being a youth group leader, ward missionary and a ward organist. I enjoy all these callings and have learned a lot about being a leader and helping others to feel the spirit. One of the greatest learning experiences in my life was one sunday I was playing the organ and I had to play a song that I was not as familiar with as others. I struggled to play the song and hold the congregation together. I learned a lot about preparedness and planning ahead. If ye are prepared ye shall not fear.
