Hi I'm Camille

I have a deep passion for life and I'm very happy. I'm currently serving as missionary in the beautiful land of Japan.

About Me

I am in love with life. My happiness comes from the simple moments that give life meaning; there are so many beautiful and magical things in life to be grateful for. Relationships are deeply important to me. My family are my best friends, and my biggest dream is to marry, have children, and live a fulfilling life as a wife and mother. I have a deep passion for life and learning. I just graduated with a Bachelor Degree in History and English, with an emphasis in Creative Writing, and I continue to learn new things everyday. I'm an aspiring novelist because I absolutely love reading and writing; there's nothing more magical than immersing myself in a story. I also play the piano and the violin, do crochet, knitting, and embroidery, and I'm an avid board game player. I've had two amazing study abroad experiences-- one in England, one in France; I love to travel and experience other cultures, meet more of God's wonderful children, and see the beautiful places He has created. Life is full of so many wonderful things and I just want to do everything!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the Church, and growing up I've always loved this Gospel because it makes so much sense to me and has brought me great happiness. As a teenager I struggled with a weakness that kept me from drawing closer to the Lord and having His spirit in my life. It got so bad, and I felt so lost and hopeless, that I decided to give up on the Church. For the year I gave up on the Gospel life didn’t get any better. I felt more lost than I had before. I recognized that Christ and His Gospel offered me a light in the darkness and storms raging inside of me, and I needed to go to that light, even in my weak and imperfect state. Once again I fully immersed myself in the Gospel, and through Church and studying the scriptures, I came to understand that the only thing that could help me was the Lord’s loving mercy. One Easter Sunday, during a beautiful lesson on the Savior, I finally understood Christ’s power to change me. I was filled with faith in my Savior. Over the years I had been trying to change on my own, and I needed to turn myself over to my Savior to cleanse, sanctify, and transform me. That night when I knelt in prayer, I poured my heart to my loving Heavenly Father, crying and pleading with Him to change me. As I prayed, a powerful warmth filled me, burning in my heart and enveloping me like a blanket. In that instant, all my past struggles and the temptations which had been my constant companion for twelve years washed away, as if all I had been had never happened at all. In that moment I was a new person, and ever since that prayer, where I gave the Lord my heart, I have remained changed. I have a deep love and testimony of the Gospel. I know without a shadow of a doubt it is true, and I love it dearly. It is the best aspect of my life and part of who I am. Through Christ and His Gospel, I am changed and transformed. I am a new person through the power of God. Who I am today is because of Christ. Through Him I can become my best self.

How I live my faith

I live my life as a Disciple of Jesus Christ. I look to Him in all things and strive to diligently keep His commandments. His way is the path to our Eternal Happiness and to transform us into our best selves. Through the Gospel of Jesus Christ, we can become our best selves. I love spending time reading my scriptures to receive guidance from the Lord, and praying to my Heavenly Father to draw closer to Him. I'm currently serving a mission in the beautiful land of Japan. It is my honor to bring people to my Savior, to love and serve others, and therefore serve the Lord.
