Hi I'm Samuel

I grew up in Boise, Idaho and I am about to go serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Missouri.

About Me

I was born and raised in Boise, Idaho to a wonderful LDS family. I enjoy playing the bagpipes and performing in various concerts and competitions as well as occasionally traveling to Canada for piping school. I have a super awesome twin sister named Gretchen who has been by my side literally my whole life. I Love the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is the most sacred and wonderful possession and knowledge of mine that I will always cherish forever. I will soon be leaving to serve a mission in the Missouri Independence mission. I am so excited to share my love of the gospel with the people there and hope that they will come to love it and honor it as well.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the LDS church because it brings peace, comfort, and guidance to my life. I have learned and know why I am here on the Earth and what my path should be in order to return to heavenly father again when I die someday. It brings me peace to know that death is not the end, but rather the beginning. I love knowing that my family can be united for all eternity and that I can someday have my own family unit knowing that my children will always be near me and I may be with them forever. I love the Atonement of Jesus Christ, knowing that when I sin, I may use that atonement to draw nearer to God and to get completely rid of the guilt I may feel, as well as having our father in heaven be able to forgive me of my sins so that I can once again return to him.

How I live my faith

I attend church meetings every week on Sunday mornings. One of my obligations for the meeting is to bless the bread and water in the sacred ordinance we call the sacrament. This is one of the only ordinances we perform in the church meeting houses whereas the other ordinances of the gospel are done only in the temple. I strive daily to live my life according to the commandments of Heavenly Father so that I may remain worthy to bless the sacrament each week and that I may return again unto him someday as well. I also work at the temple as an ordinance worker every Tuesday morning as well. This has helped me become more familiar with what goes on in the temple as well as drawing me nearer to christ and being solid reminder to keep the commandments that I may enter the house of the Lord whenever I may please.
