Hi I'm Josh

I'm from the Central Coast of California, I'm a law student at UCLA, I'm the father of two boys, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a law student at UCLA. I love playing basketball and golf. I am married to the woman of my dreams and we have two very active boys. We call Southern California our home and spend as much time as we can outside and at the beach. Trying to balance the rigors of law school with the needs of my family can be tough. However, my family is what gives me purpose. The Gospel of Jesus Christ helps me put the puzzle pieces of my life in order.

Why I am a Mormon

The rigors of everyday life can create challenges that are not easily overcome. I have learned through my membership in the church how to better navigate life's obstacles and weather the storm. There is a comfort that comes as a result of obedience to God's commandments. I am a Mormon because the teachings of Christ's restored church help me understand what God expects of me and how I can achieve my ultimate potential as a son of God.

How I live my faith

“The great thing in this world is not so much where we are, but in what direction we are going.” (Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr.) The Gospel of Jesus Christ helps me understand that I am not expected to be perfect, but rather to be perfected in Christ. This can take time. I live my faith by trying to be a better me each day. Jesus Christ's earthly ministry was full of examples of selfless service for His fellow man. I try to live like Him by serving others and being a friend to those in need.
