Hi I'm Lindsay

I'm a dancer, artist, and avid book lover. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been a ballerina since I was four. I love painting, drawing, and designing anything and everything. I am always reading at least three books. I love the smell of rain, and the feeling of the sun. I attended Brigham Young University. I am currently serving as a missionary in the Arkansas Bentonville Mission. I love my family, I love my friends, and I love the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe in Jesus Christ. I believe he is our Savior, and our only way to make it back to our Father in Heaven. I am a Mormon because the truths found in this gospel bring my life so much peace and happiness. I am a Mormon because I know that God lives, and I know that he loves me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by praying morning and night, and studying my scriptures every day. I live my faith by spreading kindness, and believing in good things to come. I also love to grow my faith by actively participating in my church, and serving others at every opportunity.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Lindsay
Mormon women are unlike any other women because we are "confident and courageous because [we] are virtuous" (Elaine S. Dalton). If you've ever met a Mormon woman, you know there is something different about her. About the way she speaks, the way she smiles, and the way she carries herself. She seems to know exactly who she is. Mormon women are the strongest, kindest, most creative and charitable women I have ever met. They are virtuous and brave. They know what they stand for. They know what is most important in life. And they build their entire lives around that answer. Yes! Mormons believe in the equality of men and women. We have different divine natures and talents, but we are to work together in total equality. Spouses are to treat each other with the utmost love and respect. Only then will a home be truly built upon the foundation of Christ. When a man and a woman work together in unity, a home is strengthened beyond what either could have accomplished on their own.
