Hi I'm Danielle Myers

South Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi and Arkansas are the states I've called "home". I love the South! And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

In March of this year, I decided to take a break from my desk job and focus on taking care of my dear little ones. While my children strive to push me to the edge of crazy, I wouldn't have it any other way. I love to work out and cook. They are my stress reliefs; however, I work out so I can enjoy treats! My favorite places to visit are the beach and anywhere with family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church. But there have been times in my life where the Church wasn't a priority. I didn't have one of those epiphany like moments where I was converted to the gospel. It used to bother me that I didn't have one of those. But during my life, I've had countless moments where the gospel has proved true. I know that I'm a happier person while keeping the commandments. I experience so much joy while serving. There is comfort in the structure and logic in the Church. But there are numerous instances where faith has to be exercised. I know that our brother, Jesus Christ, suffered for our sins and made repentance possible for all of us. I know that Joseph Smith restored the gospel to this earth. I know that the Book of Mormon and the Bible are true scriptures. I have such strong testimony of the power of prayer. I know that families are forever and find peace that those who have passed on, that we will see them again.

How I live my faith

Recently, I was called as the Secretary for Relief Society. Service can be so rewarding. And I am thankful my calling gives me lots of opportunities to serve. I worked in the nursery and before that in Young Women's. Working with the youth was such a rewarding experience. Teenagers face a lot of challenges and I hope the principles I taught help them to chose the right in the future. In all my callings that I've had and will have, I hope I can listen to the Spirit and create opportunities for others to feel its presence.

Can you tell me about Mormon customs: how you dress for church, what holidays you celebrate, etc.?

Danielle Myers
Dress for church on Sundays is your Sunday best. Sunday best will look different from person to person. Males tend to wear a white shirt, tie and slacks. Females generally wear skirts and dresses. Holidays?! We celebrate them all. Christmas? Heck yes! There are presents but the focus of Christmas is that Christ was born. Show more Show less
