Hi I'm Madeline

I'm a student at BYU. I love sports, reading, boating, being outdoors, and playing the piano. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student at Brigham Young University and absolutely love it! I especially love the environment and sporting events. I was born and raised in Utah, and love spending time with my parents and two siblings. Having grown up next to my cousins and grandparents, I am constantly doing something with family members. I love any and all sports and had the opportunity of playing high school basketball. I love boating, where I enjoy both water skiing and wake boarding. As a family we love to travel, and have been to twenty-three states and two different countries. I am currently preparing to serve as a missionary in the Guatemala Retalhuleu Mission, leaving August 18, 2015.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the Gospel of Jesus Christ is what makes me truly happy! I am so grateful for my Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ, and know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the church that they have established here upon this earth. I am especially grateful for the Atonement and the knowledge that past mistakes can be made up for, and that I can one day return to live with my Father in Heaven. Being a Mormon has provided me with this priceless knowledge and hope. After praying and sincerely seeking, I know without a doubt that this church is true. Joseph Smith did indeed restore it upon the earth in these latter-days, and, just as he was a prophet then, President Thomas S. Monson is the prophet now. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and serves as the keystone of this religion. I know who I am, where I came from, and where I am going, so long as I do what He has asked of me. I truly am a daughter of God who loves me, and I love Him! I love this gospel and am proud to be a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I have had many opportunities to live my faith by serving in the church. At BYU I had the privilege of serving as the family home evening coordinator. Through that, I was able to meet new people as well as develop new leadership skills. Visiting teaching, or meeting with different women in the ward each month, has also been a great blessing in my life. While this provides the opportunity to live my faith, it has also led to new friendships.
