Hi I'm McKayla

I'm from Spanish Fork, Utah. My dream is to be an Elementary Teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 19 years old. I thrive on meeting new people and making new friends! I'm the youngest of 8 and I like to consider myself my families #1 fan! Music, volleyball and friends basically sum up my life story thus far, but now I am currently preparing to serve in the North Dakota Bismark Mission!

Why I am a Mormon

I personally have grown up being part of the Mormon culture. My parents are both members and are very active in their church attendance and responsibilities. Although I grew up in the Mormon culture I have not always believed that the church is true. There have points in my life when I have questioned everything I have been taught and learned about. I remember having moments of confusion and frustration and found that the only way to really find an answer was to truly live the principles the church teaches. As I began to do my best to truly learn and live the principles I had been taught all my life I noticed my life began to feel more fulfilling and full of joy. Even though the challenge of living the gospel was difficult at first, I found the more I read the scriptures and said my prayers, the more my heart and mind thrived and thirsted to know more. I have never been confronted with a big glorious booming answer confirming that this church is true. But rather it has been through the little things that I have felt in my heart that have given me an answer. An answer that I cannot deny. My eyes have been opened to the small but glorious miracles that our Heavenly Father blesses us with each and every day. He has a hand and everything we do, and I know that He is more than willing to help us through our trials and welcome us with open arms... but He loves us enough to let us make the decision to accept that help and run for that sweet embrace.

How I live my faith

I show my faith through accepting responsibilities or callings that I am asked to take on by my church leaders. Now that I have finally reached the age, I have the amazing opportunity to share my faith with the wonderful people in the North Dakota Bismark Mission!
