Hi I'm Matthew

I love science and hiking in the mountains. Now I'm preparing to serve in the Denmark Copenhagen Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just finished high school and I am now preparing to serve a full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Denmark. In high school I loved science classes, especially biology. When I return from my mission I am planning on going to college to study molecular biology, then to medical school to become a doctor. I would love to be a pediatric oncologist, but I'm not completely sure what my future holds, yet. During high school I also loved spending time with my friends, doing anything from making music to hiking to the top of a mountain. Now I am leaving all that behind so that I can share the peace and joy that come from the gospel of Jesus Christ with the people of Denmark. I couldn't be more excited.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I want to be happy. I want happiness during this life and a fullness of joy in the next life. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints allows me to find the things that really bring me lasting happiness, like serving others and strengthening my family. Some people may say that boys my age are only Mormon because their parents make them go to church or because they want to meet Mormon girls, but for me this isn't true. I am a Mormon because I love my God, my neighbors and myself.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by constantly striving to be the best that I can be. One of my favorite parts about my faith is that with the help of the Savior we can always improve and overcome our weaknesses. Through my faith I can start becoming the best that I can be. My faith has helped me improve as a student, as a son and brother, as a member of my community, and as a son of God.
