Hi I'm Payton Curtis Mair

I grew up in Heber Utah, just outside of Salt Lake City. I was a High School State Champion Wrestler. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been wrestling for 7 years of my life. I was one of the Team Captains my Senior Year of High School and helped win a team state championship as well as my own personal state championship at 170 lbs. I enjoy being outdoors, and I have a small firewood selling business I started myself. I'm going on an LDS mission to Columbus, Ohio and I report to the MTC on August 19. I've been a member all of my life but i truly became converted, and new it to be true for myself at the age of 15. After making some poor decisions in my life I went to a boys home where I truly developed a testimony of Jesus Christ and the restored Gospel and I've been faithful ever since.

Why I am a Mormon

Going back to my days at a boys home, I learned for the first time what it meant to feel burdened. As Alma the Younger relates to his son Helamen in the Book of Mormon (Alma 36) he talks about how he had been so bad that he sinned against God and how his "soul was racked with eternal tourment, and i understood that all to well. so i got on my knees and started to pray for forgiveness, that if this was true than Jesus Christ could take away all my sins. it didn't happen all at once, but progressively my sins were taken away and i know without a shaddow of a doubt the gospel is true. that the book of mormon is the word of god, and for people searching for something to lift their burdens, that this gospel can and will be the instrument to allow you to do so. It is no longer just a faith to me but it is who i am.

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday. I also help those who are in my and community and ward with various needs. their is a widow who I deliver wood to for no pay. My neighbor has offered to help with my mission so i've given him assistance to his needs. I also help spread the gospel with those around me whenever the opportunity arises.
