Hi I'm Justin Upshaw

I'm a Brother, I'm a Friend, I'm a Missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a 20 year old guy who is currently serving a mission for the LDS church in Montana and Wyoming. I love playing basketball and I'm slowly but surely teaching myself how to play piano. I've lived most of my life in good ol' Texas.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was eight years old, I was baptized into the church. However, for about 3 years I was what is probably considered less-active. The only thing though is that I had great friends who kept inviting me to church. I soon found myself back in the chapel and felt the Spirit come back into my life. There were many paths I could've taken, but I know that I made the right choice. I've been able to learn that this is Christ's church on the earth. I've also learned that the Book of Mormon is the Word of God and supports and aligns with the Bible. Because of this knowledge, I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Right now, I'm serving as a missionary. Missionaries go out and help people as much as we can to learn more of Jesus Christ and develop faith in Him. We put ourselves aside for 2 years as we are prayerfully called to serve in a certain geographic area. Being a missionary has helped me learn so much as to what it means to be a follower of Christ. I've seen so many miracles in my life and love helping out others in the community and within the church.
