Hi I'm Tammy

I am a Mother,Grandmother, and Real Estate Agent, I have a strong testimony of our savior, and have co-raised exceptional children.

About Me

I am a mother to 6 wonderful children and a grandma to two beautiful kids. I have been married going on 27 years, we met in the mission field while serving in Indiana. We also have my sister who is 32 years old and is disabled, when my parents passed away a few years back we took her in. We adopted a little boy when he was 14 he is 29 now, he has Kauffin Lowery and is disabled he is now in a wheelchair, he sure brings a lot of love into our family. My oldest son married a wonderful girl who has an amazing family they have two children and have just bought a home in North Carolina. My oldest girl lives in Japan with her amazing air force husband, he is so good to her, and we love him. My third daughter is Para (teachers aid) at a school for Autistic Children, she has been there 4 years and is amazing at it. I have a twelve year old girl who loves horses and is in the 4H program and excels at everything she does. And last but not least I have a very active 5 year old soon to be 6 who is very sweet and kind. I home school and love it. And on the side I have been a Real Estate Agent for going on 20 years, and one thing I am very proud of is in that 20 years I have never had to have a babysitter except grandma a few times while doing Real Estate they have always gone with me and turned on lights or helped in some other way. I have been so blessed in my life. I really enjoy Books and sewing with my mother-in-law.

Why I am a Mormon

At the age of 14 I lacked something and was not sure what it was I asked my parents what church they belonged to they said they belonged to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints (LDS, Mormon) so I looked up in the phone book the closest church and went there on a Sunday, I do remember going once in a while as a young child, I rode my bike to church and have been going ever since, it fulfilled that "something" I was lacking and have never looked back since. The church is my whole life, It has given me a direction I never knew existed, I can't imagine my life without the knowledge I have gained from being a member and the personal relationship I have with my savior is amazing, I feel hope and love.

How I live my faith

I am a active member of the Syracuse Chamber of Commerce, my children have all been involved with the youth council in our community. I am also a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate). I am a Webelos Leader in the scout program. And we look for every opportunity to serve the people around us.

Who are the Mormons?

The Mormon's are Christians and have a deep love and commitment to the Savior, we go to church every Sunday for 3 hours, 1 hour in a meeting called Sacrament this is to edify each other, we take turns speaking and teaching each other, we have a bishop and his counselors who preside at the meeting all are volunteers we have no paid clergy in our meetings, the next hour is Sunday School, some call it "Bible Study" we then study together the scriptures, Last 1 hour meeting is where the Women all get together in a meeting we call Relief Society, this was formed March 17, 1842, Relief Society was organized for “the relief of the poor, the destitute, the widow and the orphan.” In addition,“not only to relieve the poor, but to save souls.” The larger part of the work of Relief Society today is “to look after the spiritual welfare and salvation … of all the female members of the Church.” What a wonderful organization to be a part of. The men go off to Priesthood Mtg where they are also spiritually fed. So other then going to church 3 hours every Sunday we try and life what we have been taught on Sunday's each and every minute of the day and teach our children about the Savior and his example, the church and what you learn from being a member should impact your very being.
