Hi I'm Cassie Hawes

I was born and raised in Yuma, AZ. I love salsa, getting to know new people, and spontaneous adventures! I'm proud to be a Mormon!

About Me

I'm energetic and highly creative. I love being outside and active, especially when family and friends are involved! I am the middle child of five and I love my family to death! They have always been there for me and we always support each other. I'm a sketch artist. I love almost every genre of music, especially Indie and Rock. I have no idea what major I'm going to pursue in college and am undecided about a future career. No matter what I go for, though, I know I want to help people. That is my top priority when it comes to occupations and life in general. To see others happy always brings me great joy! And that's why I am currently serving as a full-time missionary in the best mission ever--the New Hampshire Manchester Mission!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I know the church is true. I have prayed about and studied the Book of Mormon and when I was sixteen, I received such a strong witness of its truth, I will never deny it. I have found that when I pray and read my scriptures before leaving the house, my days go so much better. I know that the Holy Ghost is with me. I know God has a plan for each of us. We may not know what it is yet, but I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ will be with us every step of the way. They want what is best for all of us and they love us. I am so very grateful for this great love and the knowledge that I have of the truthfulness of the Gospel.

How I live my faith

I have served in the church as a primary teacher and have lead the music in our main Sacrament Meeting. Currently, I am serving among the New Englanders in the New Hampshire Manchester Mission and I'm loving it! The Gospel of Jesus Christ has brought so much joy to my life and I cannot express how happy it makes me to share it with others, non-stop for 18 months. I know of the happiness and blessings it can bring to people and am so happy that I get to bring that same joy to more of God's children!

What is being a Mormon like?

Cassie Hawes
Being a Mormon is amazing! There is so much knowledge about where we came from, why we are here, and what we can expect after death. This gospel brings so much joy and happiness to the lives of those who come to know it is true. The church is true no matter where you go, and there is so much support and love among the members, it's like on huge, worldwide family. We are engaged in a lot of service and missionary work, not for the recognition of doing good, but because we know that we are all children of God; we are all brothers and sisters and we want to share happiness with everyone. What do Mormons believe about family?

Cassie Hawes
Families are essential and important, and we all have the opportunity to be together with our families after death. This can be accomplished through the authority of God on earth (the Priesthood) and we can be bound together in this life and in the eternities to come. How wonderful is that! Show more Show less
