Hi I'm Diana

I am a retired piano teacher and I'm a Mormon. I love music and cross stitch.

About Me

I love to teach children and help them develop and use their talents in music. I had six children who learned piano and other string and band instruments also. It really helped to develop their minds and self-confidence. My hobbies are playing the piano, singing, cross-stitch, snow/water skiing, spending time with my grandchildren, and traveling. I love to spend time in the outdoors. My husband and I have retired and moved back to Utah where we were raised. We find the Gospel to be just as important in our lives here as well. Whether in the deserts or the Rocky Mountains, our congregation has welcomed us and we have derived many friendships with other seniors. The Church teachings are the same wherever we travel or live.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has given me excellent guidance and peace of mind in my daily life. I raised my children in Arizona and found the Church to be so helpful in teaching my own children and grandchildren correct principles. I have a testimony that the Bible and Book of Mormon are teachings from God and His son Jesus Christ. I continually find help through prayer and study to help me personally in my own life on a daily basis. I was baptized as an eight-year-old child and I am still learning more every day. The Gospel is a plan of true happiness when the principles are followed.

How I live my faith

I am currently teaching the seven-year-olds in our children's program called Primary. It is designed for children 3-11 to re-enforce what they are taught in their homes. Taught on Sundays, the lessons are designed to teach obedience to gospel commandments, being good members of their families and communities, and to always "Choose the Right" every day. The children enjoy getting special CTR rings that remind them of making wise choices and learning from the Bible and Book of Mormon scriptures. The children in my class are preparing for baptism when they turn eight. It has been very rewarding to watch their progress in the Gospel and see them learn to be more responsible children. I love playing and singing sacred and uplifting music for our church choir or congregation. When I can accompany my tenor husband, it really brings me close to him and feeling of the spirit too.
