Hi I'm Marissa

I grew up in Utah. I went to school for culinary arts. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Certified Culinarian, I love to cook and bake. I grew up in Utah and enjoy spending time in the outdoors, like hiking and camping. I enjoy playing sports, my favorite is track and field.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up Mormon and went to church with my family. I continue to be a Mormon because I know this church is true. I received my own testimony and my own conversion while I was in high school. I am continuing to strengthen my testimony and be converted to the gospel everyday, because once we have received a testimony and a conversion, it is up to us to hold onto that. I continue to be a member of this church because I don't want to lose my testimony, I've worked hard to receive it. I know that we have a loving Father in Heaven to cares about each of us, and I know we have a loving older brother, Jesus Christ, who died for us so that we can one day return to live with them. I love reading the Book of Mormon! I learn something new every time I read it. I have found things in the Book of Mormon that I can relate to and I have received strength from reading the scriptures. I know personally that the atonement can help and change hearts. I am so grateful for the atonement in my life and for the opportunity it provides for me to become more like my Savior. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God and that through him the gospel was restored back on the earth. I also know that we have a living prophet on the earth today. I am so grateful for the gospel in my life, I have been blessed as I strive to keep the commandments and live the teachings of the gospel. I don't know where I would be without the gospel in my life. I know this church is true, in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving in my ward as a Sunday school teacher, serving as a ward missionary, and being a visiting teacher.
