Hi I'm Janet

I am a wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother to a beautiful family and yes, I am a Mormon.

About Me

I live in California and I am currently preparing to serve as a full-time missionary with my husband in the Hamilton New Zealand Mission. I have been married to the love of my life for 54 wonderful years. Cooking and baking are my favorite things to do, especially when I'm doing it for my family. I enjoy going on walks with family and being outdoors. My husband and I enjoy the challenge of keeping up-to-date with our property.

Why I am a Mormon

I am not just a Mormon because I was born into the church. I believe with every fiber of my being that Jesus is the Christ and that this is His true church upon the earth today. I am a Mormon because this gospel brings me joy! Although we have experienced many adversities in this life, the gospel of Jesus Christ has brought peace and understanding despite our hardships. My marriage and family life has been filled with happiness and peace because of the teachings that I learned and applied in my life. This gospel makes me want to be a better person and become more like Jesus Christ. I know that our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ want us to be happy and by being a Mormon, I have found this true happiness.

How I live my faith

I have recently served for two years as a Humanitarian Leader for our church. I found joy and love in serving people of our church, community, and neighbors. Whatever the need was, (food, labor, home visits), we as church members fulfilled their needs. The most rewarding part of serving others is seeing their needs fulfilled. I have been blessed to be a visiting teacher to wonderful women who live locally. It has been my pleasure to go into their homes and spend time with them. It is a daily conscious choice that I make to love one another as Jesus Christ did. It is through following him and studying his teachings that I find strength and live my faith.
