Hi I'm Brandon

I've lived in Utah my entire life. I've twice traveled to Europe to perform as a part of a band and choir. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm soon bound for college, following an LDS mission. I am a musical dilettante, or an Idiot-Savant, as my dad says. In other words, I mess around on several instruments, as well as sing, but none of them on a highly skilled or professional level. I think of myself as a Hack-and-Slash pianist, only playing enough Billy Joel and Neil Diamond to make me smile when the weather is grey. I've twice toured Europe with a state-wide honor band/choir and loved every minute of it. I enjoy reading Stephen King novels, and playing Billy Joel music poorly and loudly while it rains. I've thought about writing my own music, but have yet to produce anything satisfactory.

Why I am a Mormon

Both my parents being members, I have grown up in this church. The older I get, and the more I witness the alternatives to living a life within the Gospel of Christ, the more I find that I am drawn to this church. It is the constant in my life, and in this changing and turbulent world. I have felt the love of my fellow members and my God, and wish to keep it with me always.

How I live my faith

I work with adult leaders to help organise youth around my own age, and will soon work primarily to teach others about my religion. Being fairly young I've yet to have much opportunity to serve in my church, but look forward to the future for such chances.
