Hi I'm Hannah

I am a runner. I am called to serve a mission in Illinois. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been a competitive runner for the past 7 years through Junior High, High School, and my first year at college. I love running, hiking, biking, and exercising in general. I love looking up new music and in my free time you can usually find me reading books or watching movies. I am about to leave for my mission to Chicago Illinois. I will be speaking Spanish.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the greatest joy I've ever felt in my life has been from following the teachings of the Book of Mormon. The peace and comfort it brings to my life is irreplaceable. I can try to find joy and happiness in other things but nothing comes close to the feelings I get when I am living righteously and keeping the commandments. I am a Mormon because I know the Book of Mormon is true. I know Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God called to translate the gold plates. I am a Mormon because through temple work and living righteously, I can live with my family forever. Death has no sting because I know I will be with my family for eternity. I am a Mormon because I know that my Savior Jesus Christ lives and loves me. He watches over me each day and is there for me when all of my efforts just aren't enough. I'm a Mormon because I believe.

How I live my faith

One way that I live my faith is by serving in my church callings. At my singles ward where I go to college I am a Family Home Evening group leader. I put together wholesome activities each Monday night for a group of young single adults in my ward to do together. My roommate and I also visit a couple girls in my ward each month to teach them a short spiritual lesson and see how they are doing. Sometimes we bring them cookies or other treats when they are going through a stressful time in school or when we feel like they need an extra boost.
