Hi I'm Kaili

I'm a Minnesota native and a Utah transplant. I'm a dancer and a lover of all things life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in a suburb of the Twin Cities in Minnesota and because of this I am a lover of humidity and all things green. In my early teens I moved to Utah and soon became enchanted with mountains, living in close proximity to 14+ temples, and the mild winters. Growing up I went to a Spanish immersion elementary school and there realized not only my affinity for the language, but for the culture as well. I am forever grateful for the experiences and opportunities to serve that I have had through speaking Spanish. Ever since being exposed to a culture foreign to my own - on my very first day of elementary school - I have wanted to discover new ways of thinking, find the common ground, and experience it ALL. The thing I love most about this life is finding and using the talents that I have been blessed with. At an early age I was drawn towards music, but more importantly the violin. I remember watching the bow glide across the strings, totally enchanted. Now I play both the violin and viola and teach young children how to play the violin as well. Daily I am afforded the privilege of seeing what a sacred spirt sacred music can bring to a room. As a young girl, I also fell in love with the art form of dance. My wish to become a dancer was finally granted as a teenager, when I danced on my high school's ballroom team. To me, talents are essential. Talents bless not only our lives, but the lives of others as we use our talents to serve, uplift, and inspire.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (or Mormon) for many reasons. Because it gives me hope. Because with it I am afforded the knowledge and comfort that this life - this life full of pain, disappointment, gut wrenching sorrow, and moments of indescribable joy - is not it. It is not the end, but just the beginning. Because this gospel allows me the opportunity to change, to progress, to become a better version of myself, but most importantly it gives me the chance to be what Heavenly father wants me to become. He is real. Because with it I have the knowledge that I am NEVER alone. ever. Christ died for me, for you, for everyone. He suffered for us and with us and atoned for our mistakes. He knows what we are going through, but more importantly… He understands. I am a Mormon because I know that this gospel contains everlasting eternal truths. I know that although I am incredibly flawed, this gospel isn't. It is perfect. I know that because of and through the Atonement I can become clean and feel immense peace. I know that although it isn't always easy to live the gospel, but I can promise you it is SO incredibly worth it. Because of this gospel I know that Heavenly Father loves me - indescribably so - that He is real and that He is constantly cheering us on. I know that when we fall short or experience sadness, in it's many forms. that He stands ready to embrace us - that He is only a prayer away. The power of prayer is real and powerful force. I know that God loves us so much that He has given us inspired leaders, apostles and a chosen prophet to help us navigate this crazy maze called life, so that we may reach the finish and earn the ultimate prize - Eternal Life. I know that this church is not only good, but very much true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in everything I do as it is a very real and important part of who I am. One way I live my faith is by acting on any prompting I receive to serve - whether it's tying blankets, playing the violin at rest homes every Sunday night, or merely watching my neighbor's children as they run errands. Serving others and doing what Jesus would do - being able to LIVE my faith is a huge blessing. In addition to serving those around me, I am grateful to have the opportunity to live my faith by serving a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I will be serving in the California Modesto Mission speaking Spanish. I cannot wait to serve the people of California 24/7 and share with them the reason behind why I am so happy - this gospel.
