Hi I'm Quynn

I am currently attending Snow College. I have recently been called to serve in the Norway, Oslo Mission. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a fairly large family; I am the second oldest of 5 children. I recently graduated from High School, and I am currently attending Snow College. I recently received my mission call, and I will be serving in the Norway, Oslo Mission; I could not be more excited! This last summer I got my first full-time job working as an executive assistant in an office. I also work at a burger joint in the night. I have many hobbies; I love the violin, ukulele, art, to play sports (specifically soccer), and any activity that is outside. I recently went on a trip to the Dominican Republic to build a medical clinic.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. My parents are both members, and both of their parents were also members. Although I grew up as a member, I gained a testimony of this gospel just like anyone else would. Growing up, I followed my parents example and attended church every week, read my scriptures, prayed, but there came a point in my life where my parents couldn't make those decisions for me anymore. I started to question the purpose of everything. I wanted to know, for myself, if the church was true. I found myself down on my knees asking, with a sincere heart, if my Father in Heaven was truly there. I searched the scriptures looking for answers. I continued to do those things that have been asked of us. As I continued to look for answers I became converted to this gospel. I soon knew without a doubt that our Father in Heaven is mindful of us, that his son Jesus Christ atoned for our sins. I know that because of him we can be forgiven, we can have peace and happiness, we don't have to feel pain and fear. I know that because of him we can return to live with our Father in Heaven again and because of him we can be with our families forever. I know that he loves EACH of his children and he wishes to give us answers to our prayers. I am so grateful for the Gospel and all that it does for me. The Holy Ghost has born witness to me that the scriptures are true, they teach us eternal truths, and they teach of Christ. So why am I a Mormon? I am a Mormon because the spirit has born witness to me and I know, without a shadow of a doubt, that this church is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying my hardest to do what the Lord asks of me. Each night, before I go to bed, I sit up to my desk to study my scriptures. It is amazing how much peace you can find in the scriptures. After that I say my prayers. In the morning I wake up and the first thing I do is kneel by my bed side and pray again to my father in heaven. As I go throughout my week, I try to live as my savior would have me. I work with a smile on my face, looking to serve others. I try to show kindness to someone every day, and express my gratitude for them. When I feel discouraged I turn to the Savior and pray, once again for help to avoid discouragement and to remain positive. The lord gives me strength when I need it; when I turn to him he answers my prayers. I strive to live as Christ would have me live. I have felt of his love and I want to follow his example.
