Hi I'm Ale Guerra

I'm a daughter of God, a firm believer in fighting for truth, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being Peruvian. And I love life. It is beautiful. We just need to make time for the ones we love and to do the things we love. I don't believe we were ever intended to be "too busy" to enjoy life. I believe that living life passionately is the only way it makes sense. I know that God created us to be happy and that we are conquerors with Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

"The message has always been the same: read the book and pray." Sometimes we overcomplicate things. It's really quite simple. Read the Book of Mormon, another testament of Jesus Christ, and pray. If it is true, it means Joseph Smith was a prophet, God has restored his church on Earth, and it's the church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. When I was younger, I liked the idea of a God but I wasn't sure. I prayed one dark night, and felt so strongly the answer through the Holy Ghost. I have a Saviour who knows and loves me, a God who is MY Heavenly Father. They are real, and tangible, not just a distant fragment of imagination or a supreme being. They both are separate beings who know and love us more than any of us could possibly comprehend. I've learned that God never leaves us, he's just easier to feel if we're searching for Him. That knowledge brings me more happiness than anything else the world could possibly have to offer. I love 1 Nephi 1:3. "And I know that the record which I make is true; and I make it with mine own hand; and I make it according to my knowledge." Through prayer and the Holy Ghost, I know that to be true as well. It makes sense to me that God continues to call prophets, and would need to follow the organization established by Christ when he came to Earth. But besides logic, I'll just never be able to deny what I feel and know with all my soul, that the Book of Mormon is TRUE. That simply means everything else is true too. The pure gospel of Jesus Christ, found in the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the realest and most wonderful thing that I know.

How I live my faith

I believe and love following the example of our Saviour in losing myself in the service of others. It's something that has been a part of who I am since forever because of the great example of my mother. She is the most compassionate, loving, and patient person that I know. She created something amazingly beautiful, Express Connect. A social enterprise in which the corporate services are used to fund the social services. Before I left on my mission for Canada, Toronto, I was helping her in her free social programs: free English for kids and youth, free raise awareness campaigns for schools, and my favorite, an orphanage. I feel that helping others and loving them for who they are and who they can be is the easiest way to feel fulfilled and happy. I feel grateful for the way it strengthens my relationship with my Heavenly Father and my understanding of our divine worth, divine identity, and divine destiny.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Ale Guerra
Families are FOREVER! We are linked eternally. I will always be my daddy's daughter and he will always be my daddy. Our family of 6 is Spanish, loud, crazy, and sometimes the best telenovela on Telemundo but we are a forever family and we will have all of eternity to laugh and love each other. God is kind. :) When Christ came to Earth he brought the authority of God with him to preach and to baptize. He gave this authority to His apostles. That same authority has been restored on the Earth today, we have apostles and a prophet with the same authority found in the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It is through that authority that families are sealed, linked together so they can be together forever. Show more Show less
