Hi I'm Jadon Byers

I grew up in West Jordan Utah. I am serving a mission in the New Hampshire Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am Jadon. I recently graduated from Copper Hills High School. I am about to serve a mission in the New Hampshire Manchester Mission. I am exited to serve the lord for two year and bring others unto Christ. Some of the things I like to do our sports. I like almost all sports, except for soccer. Some of my favorite sports are basketball, baseball, football, and ultimate Frisbee. I was a part of the first ever Ultimate Frisbee club at copper hills. I am a big Utah Utes football fan. Some other things I like to do are hang out with friends and family. I am an outdoors person. I love to go camping, hiking, and boating. I am the oldest of 6 kids. There are four boys and two girls in my family, and then my mom and dad. After my mission I plan to go to college (I am considering Utah State) and find a beautiful daughter of God to marry in the temple. I am exited to serve the lord on a mission and all the help it will give me throughout the rest of my life.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? I'm not a Mormon because I was raised in the church my whole life. I'm not a Mormon because my parents make me go to church. I'm not a Mormon so I can go to young men's activities and camps. The reason I am a Mormon is because I know, for myself, that the church is true. When I was young I didn't know it was true. I just went to church because my family went. However, as I have grown older and as I have been taught to pray, there have been so many times in my life that I have been helped by God. I have many experiences that have helped me in my life, both to get through hard times and to reassure that God is there, he cares about, and he wants whats best for me. If anyone is going through a hard time, has a tough choice in front of them, has had a bad day, or just needs someone to talk to, pray. It works. God can help you. You may not get the answer you expect, or even want, but in the end he knows whats best and everything will turn out okay.

How I live my faith

I go to church and young men's activity's every week. We have about 20 priests in our ward right now, so our Tuesday young men's activities are always a lot of fun. I look forward to going to young men's every week. I have had a few calling in our quorums. I have been in the presidency when I was a deacon and teacher. I was the teachers quorum president for a while. As far as home teaching goes I was a home teacher with my dad. We had three families in our ward that we would try to visit once a month and give a short lesson. I enjoy going to church each week. Part of it is because I have a lot of friends in my ward, but it is also fun to learn more about the gospel with them.
