Hi I'm Marianne

I grew up in Idaho Falls, Idaho. I was called to the Philippines Cebu Mission in 2015 for 18 months. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to talk to people and share stories. I like to think I am funny and always enjoy a good laugh. My favorite activity is exercise! I like running fairly short distances, I love kickboxing, I love yoga! I attended a year of college at Brigham Young University and I plan on going to college again after I come home from my LDS mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been in the church since I was born, but there came a time in my life where I had to choose for myself what I believe in. When I was about 16, I began to develop my own testimony about the church. I learned that when I followed the teachings of the Gospel I was so much happier and had much more direction than when I chose not to live the teachings. The Gospel has a message that is just so familiar. When I pray, I KNOW that there is more to myself that I am unable to remember. As I grow and develop more talents and change, I feel like I am becoming who I am meant to be. It feels like each step I take in increasing my testimony of the Gospel is a step towards rediscovering who I was before this life as well as a step towards becoming a new and better person. I have read the Book of Mormon several times and the more I read it, the more my faith in the truthfulness of it grows. I would encourage anyone to read it! This Gospel means so much to me. It gives me purpose and gives me strength when I have none on my own. I have learned to put my faith in God and his plan and I have seen miracles over and over again. As a human being, so much could go wrong just by waking up in the morning. I KNOW that there is someone watching out for us and helping us with everything. The message of the Gospel provides a fullness of the fact of a supreme being a.k.a. our Heavenly Father. I am a Mormon because I KNOW the message of the gospel is 100% true. It truly means everything to me. I know it could mean just as much to others. That was why I wanted to serve a mission. The idea of bringing this happiness to someone else seems so wonderful! I want everyone to know the message and be as happy as I am.

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday and I try to help other people I go to church with with things when I can. I am serving a full time LDS mission and I get the opportunity to teach the people in the Philippines about the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
