Hi I'm Dallin

I Grew up in Cedar City, Utah my whole life and I plan on serving an LDS mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Utah my entire life. I'm a 'hands on' sort of guy that enjoys activities such as ceramics and woodshop as well as outdoor recreation such as camping, hiking and fishing. I just graduated high school and got accepted into a local university where I plan on studying to someday become an optometrist.

Why I am a Mormon

My family's lineage is rich in LDS involvement. I was born into this church as were my parents before me, and probably their parents before them. But being born into this church doesn't mean everything was easy. I could have taken the easy route and just followed my parents example, and lived as part of this church, not really having a testimony for myself if this church was true. But I wanted more. I wanted to know if what I was doing really was worth my time. If this church really was true. That's where my testimony began. At the age of 17 I finally read the Book of Mormon from cover to cover and after earnestly praying... I found an answer for myself. I finally discovered that this church was true.

How I live my faith

I was recently called to preach the gospel in the Philippines, Cebu mission. What this means is that I will be speaking a foreign language and teaching the LDS religion for two years in the Philippines. Missions aren't easy and I know that two years is a long time. But I also know the gospel is true. If I didn't have a testimony for myself of this religion, I probably wouldn't be teaching it to others.
