Hi I'm Nathan

I'm a runner, I play the piano, and called to serve in Guadalajara, Mexico. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hey! I'm Nathan, and I'm actually a pretty regular guy. Born and raised in a little town in Nevada, I spend a lot of time playing the piano and ran competitively through high school. I now go to BYU and study Biochemistry with a Music minor while running half marathons, and have been called to serve a mission in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have prayed about the gospel and know it to be true. I love the feeling I get when I keep the commandments that the Lord has placed for us and I know that by living the way He wants us to, we can return to live with Him again.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing what the Lord asks of me. I love to play the organ during church, and I love to help others find the happiness that can be discovered when we keep the commandments! I have been called to serve the people in Mexico, and I am excited to show them the way back to our Heavenly Father. Our Savior has done so much for us, and I love being able to do what He asks of us and serve others like He did.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Nathan
The Atonement of Jesus Christ is a very important part in the world and in each of our lives. The Atonement was Christ suffering in the Garden of Gethsemane and dying on Calvary for us. If the Atonement would not have taken place, then it would be impossible for us to return to live with our Heavenly Father. The Lord cannot look upon sin with the degree of allowance (D&C 1:31) and without the Atonement in our lives, none of us would be able to return to live in heaven again because none of us would be perfect enough. Christ paid the entire debt on our behalf, and because of His Atonement, we can be perfected, transformed, and changed into the people that we need to be in order to return to live in the presence of our Heavenly Father.
