Hi I'm Mckennah Astin Scott

My name is Mckennah Scott, I grew up in Syracuse,Ut and I attended Snow College, music is my life!

About Me

All through High School I was involved with Choir and theater..those were the best years of my life and I still enjoy to do those things today! In fact, I attended Snow College and took some music courses along with my generals. I love, love LOVE music! I love playing the piano! Something interesting about me, I am currently deaf in my right ear, but in my left ear I have 60-70% hearing! Regardless of my disability, I still do what I love to do and I am so grateful for a great support system of friends and family to help me do it! Some of my other favorite things to do involves spending time swimming, camping, shopping, working, napping, laughing, spending time with friends and family, being silly, and fun adventures!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I was born through covenant, but in addition, I chose to keep those covenants on my own. I haven't always understood the gospel, had a perfect testimony, or had any visitations from angels or God himself, but I know without a doubt that this is indeed the True church. I know that the Book Of Mormon is the word of God! Why am I a mormon? Because through exercising true faith and in all sincerity, praying, reading, trying to keep the commandments and pleading with my father in heaven to know the truth, I received an answer. My hope is that others will come to know for themselves too through the same process!

How I live my faith

I have lived my faith as long as I can remember, I have always loved the Gospel! My family always gives me a hard time because I am always in my Sunday clothes, attending meetings, having gospel-related conversations, and singing all of the hymnal songs! It has definitely been a huge part of my life. Every choice I ever make in life involves directly with my faith. I am constantly striving to live the life that my Heavenly Father and Savior would have me live. One of the best choices I have ever made in my life is serving a full-time mission! I really would not be here, had I not had the support and examples in my life that I have right now. I have been soooo blessed! While I was at Snow College, I was in a YSA ward and I loved every second of it! My Bishop suggested that our whole ward should be involved in Institute. I am so grateful that I was faithful in attending those institute classes. I have gained so much knowledge of the gospel and multiplied the number of friends that I have. I know that God is mindful of us and really does have a plan for each one of us specifically! As we live faithfully, and keep his commandments, we will be worthy of his spirit and have divine guidance in our lives.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Mckennah Astin Scott
Faith comes when we first have hope. When we have hope first, faith will come naturally. Faith requires action. We can act by attending church, reading scriptures and praying. It is a choice we make whether to have faith or not. I know that Christ will help us along the way, he loves us so so much! Show more Show less

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Mckennah Astin Scott
It was all part of God's plan to send his son to suffer and die for each and every one of us. Because Jesus Christ chose to do this for us, we now have somebody who completely understands how we feel. He knows every pain, grief, joy, and happiness in our life! Because of the Atonement we will never have to walk alone in this life! We also have the gift of eternal life, and resurrection. I am so grateful to have a Savior who loves us as much as he does!
