Hi I'm Britain

I am a high school graduate. I enjoy the outdoors. I enjoy sports. I grew up in the church and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently graduated from high school and plan to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have always like being active in the outdoors and sports. Some of my favorite outdoor activities are rappelling, camping, archery, and target shooting. I love being out and seeing all that Heavenly Father has created. My favorite sports are football and wrestling. Daily practices gave me discipline and physical endurance. I enjoyed being able to push myself toward a goal and seeing what I was able to achieve. The lessons I learned on the field and the mat such as sportsmanship, keeping your held high despite obstacles, and respect for opponents carry over to life and helped me to grow as a person. My greatest desire for many years has been to serve a mission. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ and enjoying sharing my testimony with others. I am so grateful for all my Heavenly Father has done. Through His sacrifice, He has given me the opportunity to have second and third and more chances. What a great gift to us all!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and I grew up just believing in the church, but not having a strong testimony. There came a point where I had to find out if the church was true or not. I started to do more in the responsibilities I had in the church, reading the scriptures, and praying more to know for myself if the church was true. With a few bumps in the journey I made, I can now say that I know for surety that the Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints is the only church that has the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ and has the priesthood restored by His holy direction. Joesph Smith was a prophet and received divine revelation from Heavenly Father. We have a living prophet today who is Thomas S. Monson. I also know that the leaders of the church, both globally and locally have been called by Heavenly Father through His designated channels.

How I live my faith

Christ lived a life of charity and service to all. This has always been what I have tried to do as well. I love to go and help any and all who may need it. As a young man in the church I have been able to serve in leadership positions among boys my age. I enjoyed working with the adult leaders and other boys to coordinate activities and learn about the gospel. Right now I am able to be missionary within my congregation and help the full time missionaries assigned to our congregation. I feel this has really helped me to prepare to serve a full time mission and serve others in my congregation.
