Hi I'm Kalei

I am half-Japanese with a Hawaiian name, huge heart, and a big smile. I'm a Mormon

About Me

SO, a little bit about myself....I was born and raised in Idaho. I truly love my home town. I am the youngest of a big family of two. My hobbies? I love being active. That means I love playing sports, especially basketball and softball, hiking, listening/playing music, traveling, trying new things, and playing in the sun. I am currently going to BYU-Hawaii and majoring in biology. One day I hope I can become fulfill my dream of becoming a physical therapist (that will also deal with prosthetics) and help others conquer their physical restrictions so that they can do anything they want.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this faith, but there are two things you should know. One- my mom was a convert and my dad was the only active member in his family from opposite sides of the world. Without them I would not have this faith or my family.Two- It was my choice to stay in this faith.Around freshman year of high school I had to make a choice. I was deciding whether to stay in this faith or leave it after high school. I decided to read the Book of Mormon for myself, and one day as I was reading it I thought came to my mind..."why do you doubt...you KNOW it is true." Ever since then I have remained and will remain active and I have tried my hardest to live like how God would like me to.

How I live my faith

I show my faith through my example and my smile. I smile because of this faith. It has brought me knowledge of truth, true happiness, and true love. No matter what hard things come into my life I smile and remember where my testimony started because I know my testimony will get me through anything. I want to help others come to know these things by serving a mission. I have been lucky enough to serve a mission in the Japan Fukuoka Mission. I have seen especially since I got my call how much God is aware of each and everyone of us. Without Him being aware of me, I would not have my life, my family, or my smile.
