Hi I'm Jay Biesinger

My name is Jay. I'm a SCUBA diver, I'm a missionary, I love this gospel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is James, but my family calls me Jay. I am the oldest of 4 children, and the only boy of the kids. I've loved playing sports for a long time. I played football my entire high school career, I tried to play basketball, but I just wasn't good enough. I'm scuba certified, and try to go as often as I can! I speak Russian, and I also know some Chinese, but not enough to say I speak Chinese well. I'm very much into science fiction, comics, and gaming. I'm generally well rounded in my interests. I served a two year mission in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine. (That's where I learned Russian.) Life is tough, I'm not going to lie. But I know it will be worth the effort. Because I know that if I continue to "endure to the end", my rewards and blessings will be amazing!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. I grew up in the church. Most people who they hear that think: "Well, of course he's going to stay! He knows nothing else!" But, I spent close to a year around people who don't believe what I believe. I learned how people who aren't LDS think. I saw the difference between myself and them. They didn't seem as happy as me. They were always trying to find themselves ways feel happier, when I am always just happy, because I have the gospel in my life. I have chosen to stay in this church, because I know that it's true! I've been through so much, and my Father in Heaven has helped me so much, that I can't deny His existence! Sure, I still have some struggles, but I know that if I put my faith in my God, I'll be just fine! What most people don't understand these days, is that sometimes, you just need to have faith! They are so dead set on getting ACTUAL evidence, like sight, hearing, feeling, or smelling Him. But we can't. So they are insistent that he isn't real. But that just shows how little faith they have. All you need, is a small seed of faith, and God can help it grow into something more!

How I live my faith

I've always loved going to church, specifically my ward. My ward is a very tightly knitted group. We love each other a ton! But we also make sure everyone feels included, we all serve each other to the best of our abilities! There's a special love in our church, you just need to find it! I haven't met a ward that doesn't love each other! Following Jesus Christ's example is how I try to live my life. Jesus Christ has shown me the importance of patience, charity, and service. Service is definitely a big one in my life!
