Hi I'm Demares Rivera

I grew up in Colorado. I have a passion for dance. I love to laugh and smile. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I studying to become Dental Hygienist. I have always loved to dance and get involved in any dance activities as much as I can. I hope some day to become the best mom I can be. I plan on serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have been called to serve in Mexico city and I am so excited for this wonderful opportunity.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a member of the Church. My mother has been a member since she was 11. My grandfather had the missionary discussions. He decided that his family would grow up in the church. He taught all his kids to live the principles of the gospel. I am always so grateful that my mother taught us, her kids, to live the principles of the gospel and most importantly to attend church. Although I grew up in the church I didn't have my own testimony of the gospel. I never really doubted anything but I really didn't no of surety that these things were true until I was a freshmen in high school. I started attending seminary each morning. In one of our seminary classes we were asked to pray and ask our Heavenly Father if Joseph smith was truly a prophet. Seminary truly helped me grow spiritually stronger in the gospel and helped me gain a love for the gospel. I know now that this is the church of God! I strive every day to live worthily.

How I live my faith

I have come to understand the only way I truly feel happy is when I am doing the small and simple things like read my scriptures, praying, and going to Church each Sunday. I think at times it can be difficult to remember to read your scriptures daily to be enlighten by the spirit and although at times I fail to do the small and simple things I always strive toward them and have sacrificed a little. For me going to church on Sunday's is so important. It gives me strength to keep going through the week I have always vowed myself not to work on Sunday's and if I consistently had to work on Sunday's then I would have to find another job. I know that the Lord helps us as long as we reach out to him and ask. I hope to become the best me I can as I learn to live the principles of the gospel more evidently.
