Hi I'm Sierra

I am a Florida girl. I love music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've grown up in this church and I've had many wonderful experiences with it. I have a fantastic family. I am the oldest of four siblings and my little brother is the best! I have a dog and a cat. My last year in high school I was lucky enough to be able to take six music classes, which I enjoyed every second of. I play piano, guitar, and marimba. Florida is fantastic- the weather is heavenly and the beaches are close. My best friend in the world is at BYU-Idaho. My boyfriend studies cello at UNF. Institute has been one of the best experiences of my life and I love learning. I am anxiously awaiting my mission!

Why I am a Mormon

I love this church. I always have, but as I have grown up I've developed a deeper appreciation for all the things it has taught me and for the person I have become through following this gospel. I've studied and researched and read and this church just makes sense to me and it feels good. When I walk into my church I feel happy. When I'm not at church, I want to be. It's just a peaceful place. I've prayed many times about this church. Not all my answers come at once, but they come. I love this church, what it stands for, the time and effort put in to teaching, the opportunities... everything about this church is so close to my heart. I couldn't ask for anything better. This is who I am- and I love being Mormon.

How I live my faith

Back in high school, I developed a deep love for learning- especially about things regarding history or this gospel. We had a class every morning around 6:00am before school that I would attend. Now that I am graduated from high school I have the marvelous opportunity of attending Institute at the Young Single Adult ward. Institute is the perfect place to ask questions and to learn about the gospel. I thought I knew quite a lot about the scriptures since I had grown up in the church. It humbled me to see all the new things there were to discover and my love for the Book of Mormon and the Bible have grown exponentially. Wherever I go, I try to live in a way that my siblings can look up to. For me, that means: being active in church, being patient, not being afraid to show who I am or how I feel about this church, and most importantly just living in a way that's different from the world. It doesn't matter so much if people know my religion, but I hope to live in a way that the people I come in contact with know I love my Savior.
