Hi I'm Blake Gerken

I was born and raised a Mormon in Arizona and plan on pursuing a career in the medical field after my mission in Peru.

About Me

I am an active in Athletics, I have participated in swim, wrestling and track at my high school. I plan on pursuing a neurological career upon my return from my mission in Peru. I look forward to raising my future family in the church just like my parents have with me and the rest of my brothers.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is how I find happiness. The gospel of Christ gives me peace of mind and a way to return to live with my Heavenly Father. I lost my handicapped brother and the gospel has helped me to know that I will be able to see him again.

How I live my faith

I love to live my faith. As it says in James 2:17-18 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. I have had the opportunity to serve the Lord in various capacities throughout my life. Each month I go to a family in my ward and share a gospel message with them and make sure that thier needs are met. I also participate weekly in the blessing and administration of the sacrament as set forth by Christ himself during his earthly ministry. I am also an assistant to the Bishop of my ward. I have a call to serve a mission in Peru and share the gospel with the people of Peru.
